David Augustus "Hoss" Amadio - Born April 23, 1939 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia – Died April 10, 1981 was a Canadian ice Hockey defencman.

- Calder Cup Champion 1962 with Springfield Indians.

Amadio was a finalist at the 1958 J. Ross Robertson Cup, 1960 Eastern Professional Hockey League and the 1970 Calder Cup.

Amadio made his NHL debut with the Detroit Red Wings on February 15, 1958 vs Toronto Maple Leafs at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 6-3 Detroit win. He played 1 more game for Detroit, the next day, going pointless in both games.

Amadio scored his 1st NHL goal vs Charlie Hodge of the Oakland Seals on October 18, 1967 at 15:48 of the 1st period at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena in a 2-2 tie.
