Samuel Edward Lichtenhein (1870–1936) owner of the Montreal Wanderers of the National Hockey Association (and later on in 1917–18 for 4 games in the National Hockey League).

Lichtenhein was originally from Chicago, Illinois and also owned the Montreal Royals baseball team.

Lichtenhein's many feuds with Toronto Blueshirts and Toronto Shamrocks/Ontarios owner Eddie Livingstone led to the creation of the National Hockey League in 1917–18 when Lichtenhein and other owners broke away from the NHA to isolate Livingstone.
