The only other appearance it made on the ice at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver was on May 16, 1982 when the New York Islanders were crowned 1982 Stanley Cup champions.
The Stanley Cup was in the the building (Pacific Coliseum) and ready for presentation on June 11, 1994, but the Canucks won that game 4-1 to force a game 7 in New York.
LA Kings Ross Lonsberry scored the 1st NHL goal at the Pacific Coliseum at 9:26 of 2nd period, a power play goal assisted by Bob Pulford, Eddie Joyal.
Barry Wilkins scored the 1st Canucks NHL goal at 2:14 of 3rd period, assisted by Len Lunde.
