Montreal Canadiens captain Jean Béliveau embraces 1965 Stanley Cup with teammates Jean-Guy Talbot (A), Henri Richard (A), Dick Duff, Bobby Rousseau, Gump Worsley and others

Béliveau was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy, becoming the Very 1st Winner of the award.

The Canadiens defeated the Chicago Black Hawks in 7 games, winning the final game on home ice at Montreal Forum in a 4-0 win on May 1, 1965.

NOTE
This was first time the Montreal Canadiens were winners of the NEW Stanley Cup, known as the authenticated "Presentation Cup" as the original bowl "Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup" was retired, last being won in either 1962 or 1963 by Toronto.
