Joseph Roger "Broadway" Jenkins - Born November 18, 1911 in Appleton, Wisconsin – Died May 4, 1994 was an American ice Hockey defenceman, right winger and coach.

Jenkins played junior with the Port Arthur West End Juniors team that lost in the 1927 Memorial Cup final to the Owen Sound Greys.

Jenkins later closed out his amateur career with the junior Edmonton Imperials in 1929-30 season.

Jenkins was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Black Hawks, October 28, 1930. They loaned him to the Toronto Maple Leafs, December 4, 1930, playing his 1st NHL game on December 6, 1930 vs New York Rangers. He was returned to the Black Hawks on February 3, 1931 after playing 21 games for Toronto. He finished the season with the Black Hawks (10 games).

After spending a season with the Bronx Tigers of the Canadian-American Hockey League / Can-Am in 1931-32, Jenkins became an NHL regular for the rest of the decade. He proved to be a solid player who could check and contribute offensively, and finally scored his 1st NHL goal on January 19, 1933 vs Roy Worters of the New York Americans.

Jenkins was a solid defenceman on the Chicago Black Hawks' first Stanley Cup championship team in 1934.

During the 'Black Hawks Stanley Cup victory parade in 1934, he carted goaltender Charlie Gardiner around the Chicago Loop in a wheelbarrow, fulfilling a pre-playoff bet he made with the Hall of Fame goaltender.

Jenkins was traded to the Montreal Canadiens with Leroy Goldsworthy and Lionel Conacher for Lorne Chabot, Howie Morenz and Marty Burke, October 3, 1934, and played the 1934-35 season for the Canadiens.

Jenkins was then traded to the Boston Bruins for Jean Pusie, Walt Buswell and cash, July 13, 1935, and after playing the season in Boston, was traded back to Montreal with Babe Siebert for Leroy Goldsworthy, Sammy McManus and $10,000, September 10, 1936.

Jenkins was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Maroons after securing release from the Canadiens, December 17, 1936, and then loaned to the New York Americans by the Maroons for cash, January 1, 1937 where he finished the season.

Jenkins was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Black Hawks after securing release from the Maroons, November 20, 1937, and would become a key member of their team that season, as the Black Hawks would win the 1938 Stanley Cup championship, with Jenkins assisting on the Stanley Cup winning goal in game four at Chicago Stadium on April 12. This would be the last Stanley Cup win at Chicago Stadium.

Jenkins was signed as a free agent by the New York Americans, January 1, 1939, playing his final 29 NHL games for New York. He was then traded to the Springfield Indians (IAHL) by the Americans for cash, October 2, 1939, and played the 1939-40 season in Springfield.

Jenkins was signed as a free agent by the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League / AHL, playing in Hershey from 1940 to 1943, having the best years as a pro - point wise, helping the Bears reach the Calder Cup finals in both 1941 and 1942. Jenkins was voted to the 1943 AHL First All-Star Team.

Jenkins would finish his Hockey career in the Pacific Coast Hockey League with the Seattle Ironmen and the Tacoma Rockets from 1943 to 1948. He coached the Rockets for 1 season.
