EditMartin Nicholas "Marty" Pavelich - Born November 6, 1927 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario - Died June 27, 2024 in Flower Mound, Texas was a Canadian/American ice Hockey left winger.

Stanley Cup finalist 1948, 1949, 1956.
- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953 , 1954, 1955, 1957 with Detroit Red Wings.
- O'Brien Trophy Champion 1948, 1949 with Detroit Red Wings.
Pavelich played his junior Hockey with the Galt Red Wings, leading them to the J. Ross Robertson Cup Junior final in 1945 and 1947.
Pavelich made his NHL debut with Detroit Red Wings on December 10, 1947 vs Toronto Maple Leafs at Detroit Olympia in a 2-2 tie.
Pavelich scored his 1st NHL goal vs Emile Francis of Chicago Black Hawks at 4:16 of 1st period on December 13, 1947 at Detroit Olympia in a 4-3 Red Wings win.
Pavelich played in 633 regular season NHL games, scoring 93 goals (19 GWG), 159 assists with 454 penalty minutes and 91 NHL playoff games, scoring 13 goals (5 GWG), 15 assists with 74 penalty minutes.
Pavelich played in NHL All-Star Games 1950,1952,1954,1955.
After retiring as a player, Pavelich and longtime teammate and best friend Ted Lindsay opened a plastic injection moulding company in Livonia, Michigan supplying the automotive industry.
Pavelich later retired to Big Sky, Montana.
Marty Pavelich was inducted into the Sault Ste. Marie Hockey Hall of Fame in 1964
