Jacques Gerard Lemaire - Born September 7, 1945 in LaSalle, Quebec is a Canadian retired ice Hockey centre and head coach.

- Stanley Cup Champions 1968, 1969, 1971, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 with Montreal Canadiens, 1995 as coach with New Jersey Devils.
Lemaire scored the 1977 Stanley Cup winning goal in overtime vs Gerry Cheevers of Boston Bruins, and he also scored the 1979 Stanley Cup winning goal vs John Davidson of New York Rangers. He is one of only 6 NHL players to score 2 Stanley Cup winning goals.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1968, 1969, 1973, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 with Montreal Canadiens, 1995 as coach with New Jersey Devils.

- Jack Adams Award Winner 1994 with New Jersey Devils.

Lemaire played in NHL All-Star Games 1970, 1973.

Lemaire made his NHL debut with Montreal Canadiens on October11, 1967 vs Pittsburgh Penguins at Pittsburgh Civic Arena in a 2-1 Montreal win.

Lemaire scored his 1st NHL gaol vs Ed Giacomin of New York Rangers at 9:46 of 1st period on October 18, 1967 at Madison Square Garden in a 2-2 tie.

Lemaire scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs George Gardner of Vancouver Canucks on December 4, 1971 at Montreal Forum in a 7-0 Montreal win. His first goal was the game winner.

Lemaire played in 853 regular season NHL games, scoring 366 goals (58 GWG), 469 assists with 217 penalty minutes and 145 NHL playoff games, scoring 61 goals (11 GWG / 3 OTG), 78 assists with 65 penalty minutes.

Jacques Lemaire was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984

In 2017, Lemaire was named one of the "100 Greatest NHL Players"

Aréna Jacques-Lemaire in Montreal, Quebec is named in his honor.
