Gilbert Perreault - Born November 13, 1950 in Victoriaville, Quebec is a Canadian retired ice Hockey centre and coach.

Perreault played in the Tournoi International de Hockey Pee-Wee de Québec with the Victoriaville PW in 1962 and 1963.

Perreault then starred on the Montreal Jr. Canadiens team, as they won back to back Memorial Cup championships in 1969 and 1970, with Perreault being team captain in 1970.

Perreault made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres on October 10, 1970 vs Pittsburgh Penguins at Pittsburgh Civic Arena. He scored his 1st NHL goal vs Les Binkley at 11:26 of the 3rd period in a 2-1 Buffalo win. His goal was the game winner.

Perreault scored his 1st NHL hat-trick on October 10, 1974 vs Gilles Gilbert of the Boston Bruins at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 9-5 Buffalo win. He had 19 hat-tricks in his NHL career.

Perreault starred on the famous "French Connection" forward line in Buffalo, one of the most powerful combinations in NHL history.

Perreault played in eight NHL All-Star Games in 1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1984.

Perreault played 1191 regular season NHL games, scoring 512 Goals (81 GWG), 814 assists with 500 penalty minutes. he played 90 NHL playoff games, scoring 33 Goals (5 GWG), 70 assists with 44 penalty minutes.

Gilbert Perreault was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1990.

Gilbert Perreault was inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame in 1991.

Gilbert Perreault was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.

Perreault was named one of the '100 Greatest NHL Players' in history in 2017.

The Amphithéatre Gilbert-Perreault in Victoriaville, Quebec was built in 1980 and is now known as Colisée Desjardins.
