Major Alan Bruce Ritchie - Born Aug 15, 1882 Halifax, Nova Scotia - Died - Dec 27, 1937 Trail, British Columbia. Canadian Militia Major, 2nd Divisional Signals Co. of the Canadian Engineers Regiment during WWI. Honourable mention in Despatches and "A" List. Recipient of the Military Cross and the Croix de Guerre.
Selwyn G. Blaylock - Born Feb 18, 1879 Paspebiac ,Quebec - Died Nov 19, 1945 Trail, British Columbia. President of Cominco Smelter in Trail BC. Inducted into the Canadian Mining Hall of Fame.
This trophy was 1st won by the Trail Smokies Hockey Club in 1940.
