Helge "Bulge" Bostrom - Born January 9, 1894 in Winnipeg, Manitoba – Died January 23 (25), 1977 in Deer River, Minnesota was a Canadian ice Hockey defenceman and coach.

- Western Canada Hockey League / WCHL Champion 1923 with Edmonton Eskimos.

- Pacific Coast Hockey Association / PCHA Champion 1924 with Vancouver Maroons.

Stanley Cup finalist 1923, 1924, 1931.

Bostrom played all his junior and senior Hockey in Winnipeg, moving up to the Winnipeg Monarchs Hockey team in 1916. Bostrom then played for the Winnipeg Ypres, helping the team make it to the 1918 Allan Cup playoffs.

Bostrom left Winnipeg to play in the Saskatchewan Senior Hockey League, playing 2 seasons with the Moose Jaw Maple Leafs from 1919 to 1921.

Bostrom then went to Alberta to play for the Edmonton Eskimos from 1921 to 1923, playing in 1 Stanley Cup game in the 1923 finals.

Bostrom travels kept him going West, this time to British Columbia, when he was traded to Vancouver by Edmonton for cash, October 2, 1923, and then played 3 seasons for the Vancouver Maroons from 1923 to 1926, also getting to the Stanley Cup again in 1924, scoring 1 goal in 2 games played.

Bostrom then made the jump to the American Hockey Association when Vancouver traded him for cash on October 13, 1926 to the Minneapolis Millers. He was there for almost 3 years before being called to the NHL by the Chicago Black Hawks for 20 games in 1930, making his NHL debut on January 16, 1930 vs Boston Bruins at Chicago Stadium in a 2-1 Black Hawks win.

Bostrom scored his 1st NHL goal vs Roy Worters of New York Americans at 2:30 of 2nd period on December 4, 1930 at Chicago Stadium in a 4-2 Black Hawks win. His goal was the game winner.

Bostrom played a total of 96 games in the NHL, all with Chicago, over a 4 year period, but as a fill-in player he was never afforded the luxury of being able to showcase his talents over a prolonged period of time. Bostrom was Black Hawks captain in 1932-33.

Bostrom was traded to the St. Paul Greyhounds / AHA by Chicago for Art Wiebe, December 29, 1932, and then played for the AHA Oklahoma City Warriors the next season.

Bostrom continued his traveling ways, this time landing in the Canadian-American Hockey League / Can-Am, playing for the Philadelphia Arrows to start the 1934 season off, and again found another team, the IHL Syracuse Stars to finish the season off.

Bostrom retired after playing with the Kansas City Greyhounds of the AHA in 1935-36.

Bostrom was also head coach of the St. Paul Greyhounds from 1932 to 1933, and the Kansas City Greyhounds from 1937 to 1939. He was a assistant coach with the Black Hawks in 1941.

Bostrom played in 96 regular season NHL games, scoring 3 goals (3 GWG), 3 assists with 68 penalty minutes and 13 NHL playoff games with 0 points and 16 penalty minutes.

Also a veteran of World War I, Bostrom served with the Canadian Army and the 1st Depot Battalion Manitoba Regiment.
