EditRobert James "Bobby" Boucher - Born February 14, 1904 in Ottawa, Ontario - June 10, 1931 was a Canadian ice Hockey centre and referee.

Boucher played all his minor and junior Hockey in the Ottawa area for many teams, but mostly for the junior and senior Ottawa New Edinburghs.
The Montreal Canadiens signed Boucher on January 25, 1924 and he made his NHL debut on January 30, 1924 vs Hamilton Tigers at Mount Royal Arena in a 5-2 Montreal win.
Boucher scored his only NHL goal vs Jake Forbes of Hamilton Tigers at 14:30 of 3rd period on March 5, 1924 at Mount Royal Arena in a 6-3 Montreal win.
Boucher played in 11 regular season NHL games, scoring 1 goal, 0 assists with 0 penalties and 5 NHL playoff games with 0 points or penalties.
Boucher played in both Stanley Cup championship games in a best of 3 vs Calgary Tigers on March 22 and 24, as the Canadiens won both games and the 1924 Stanley Cup championship in the Ottawa Auditorium. He was traded the next day (March 26) to the Vancouver Maroons.
Boucher played in the West for a couple of seasons with Vancouver and Edmonton Eskimos before returning to Ontario, joining the London Panthers in the new Canadian Professional Hockey League, helping the Panthers win the inaugural league championship in 1927.
He finished his pro Hockey career with the Quebec Castors and Newark Bulldogs in 1929 and became a referee in the Ottawa Valley Hockey League.
NOTE
Bobby Boucher, along with Ed Dulfour, Leo Danduran, and Cecil Hart had their full first names engraved on the Stanley Cup in 1924 ... the other teammates had their first names shortened.
