David William Christian - Born May 12, 1959 in Warroad, Minnesota is an American retired ice Hockey right winger and coach.

- Winter Olympics Gold Medal Champion 1980 with Team USA.

Christian made his NHL debut with Winnipeg Jets on March 2, 1980 vs Chicago Black Hawks, also scoring his 1st NHL goal vs Mike Veisor at 1:07 of 1st period at Winnipeg Arena in a 3-2 Chicago win.

Christian scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Al Smith of Hartford Whalers on March 26, 1980 at Winnipeg Arena in a 7-0 Jets win. He scored the final 3 goals of the game, a natural hat-trick.

Christian played in 1009 regular season NHL games, scoring 340 goals (35 GWG / 1 OTG), 433 assists with 284 penalty minutes and 102 NHL playoff games, scoring 32 goals (3 GWG), 25 assists with 27 penalty minutes.

Christian played in the 1991 NHL All-Star Game.

Christian represented the United States 5 times as a junior, scoring 2 goals, 1 assist and 0 penalties and 40 times as a senior, scoring 16 goals, 16 assists with 20 penalty minutes.

Christian led all USA players in assists (8) during the 1980 Winter Olympics, including assisting on the pivotal goal vs the Soviets with 1 second left in the 1st period to tie the game 2-2, as USA went on to win the Miracle on Ice game 4-3. He then assisted on the final 3 goals vs Finland in the Gold Medal game, as USA won 4-2

Dave Christian was inducted into the United States Hockey Hall of Fame in 2001.

NOTE
His father Bill and uncle Roger were members of the 1960 USA Olympic Hockey Team that won the gold medal. Another uncle, Gordon, was a member of the 1956 USA Olympic Hockey Team that won the silver medal.
