Opened on Christmas Day in 1902, the Arctic Rink in Fredericton, New Brunswick was owned by Albert Edgar Hanson.

Early Hockey teams that used the Arctic Rink were from University of New Brunswick, Mount Allison University, Mount Allison Ladies’ College, Fredericton Celestials, Saint John Mohawks, Marysville Crescents, Saint John Beavers, Sackville Hockey Club, St. Stephen Thistles, Fredericton Trojans, Moncton Victorias, Saint John Neptunes, Saint John Marathons, Fredericton Capitals, Chatham Ironmen, Sussex Ramblers, Campbellton Victorias and the 1st ladies Hockey team from the area, the Fredericton Greylings.
