Darcy Irwin Rota - Born February 16, 1953 in Vancouver, British Columbia is a Canadian retired ice Hockey left winger, coach, manager and TV commentator.

Rota made his NHL debut with the Chicago Black Hawks on October 10, 1973 vs Los Angeles Kings at Great Western Forum, also scoring his 1st NHL goal vs Rogie Vachon at 14:13 of the 2nd period in a 3-0 Chicago win. He also picked up his 1st NHL penalty in the 3rd.

Rota scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Pete LoPresti of the Minnesota North Stars on March 26, 1977 at Chicago Stadium in a 7-2 Chicago win.

Rota played 794 regular season NHL games, scoring 256 goals (25 GWG), 239 assists and 973 penalty minutes. He played 60 NHL playoff games, scoring 14 goals (1 GWG), 7 assists and 147 penalty minutes.

Darcy Rota was inducted into the Prince George Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
