Matthew David "Matt" Cullen - Born November 2, 1976 in Virginia, Minnesota is an American retired ice Hockey center and coach.

- 2004 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships Bronze Medal Winner with Team USA.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 2006 with Carolina Hurricanes, 2016, 2017 with Pittsburgh Penguins.

- Stanley Cup Champion 2006 with Carolina Hurricanes, 2016, 2017 with Pittsburgh Penguins.

Cullen made his NHL debut with Mighty Ducks of Anaheim on October 28, 1997 vs Toronto Maple Leafs at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 2-2 tie.

Cullen scored his 1st NHL goal vs Kevin Weekes of Florida Panthers at 3:07 of 3rd period on January 21, 1998 at Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim in a 8-3 Mighty Ducks win.

While playing for the Carolina Hurricanes, Cullen scored his 1st & only NHL hat-trick vs Andrew Raycroft (and EN) of Colorado Avalanche on February 22, 2009 at RBC Center in a 5-2 Carolina win.

Cullen played in 1516 regular season NHL games, scoring 266 goals (37 GWG / 1 OTG), 465 assists with 592 penalty minutes and 132 NHL playoff games, scoring 19 goals (4 GWG), 39 assists with 72 penalty minutes.

Cullen represented the USA 33 times, 6 as a junior, scoring 3 goals, 1 assist with 0 penalties and 27 times as a senior, scoring 6 goals, 12 assists with 14 penalty minutes.

Matt Cullen was inducted to St. Cloud State University's Athletics Hall of Fame in 2023.
