Kenneth Edward "Ken" Doraty - Born June 23, 1905 in Stittsville, Ontario – Died May 4, 1981 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan was a Canadian ice Hockey right winger, coach, executive and governor.

Doraty made his NHL debut with Chicago Black Hawks on November 17, 1926 vs Toronto St. Pats at Chicago Coliseum in a 4-1 Chicago win.

Doraty scored his 1st NHL goal vs Andy Aitkenhead of the New York Rangers at 6:28 of the 1st period on November 12, 1932 at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 4-2 Toronto win.

Doraty played 103 regular season NHL games, scoring 15 Goals (3 GWG / 3 OTG), 26 assists with 24 penalty minutes and 15 NHL playoff games, scoring 7 goals (2 GWG / 1 OTG), 2 assists with 4 penalty minutes.

Doraty played in the Ace Bailey Benefit Game in 1934.
He had 1 goal, 1 assist.

Doraty scored a OT game winner in one of the longest games in NHL history while playing for Toronto Maple Leafs in a game vs Boston Bruins on April 3, 1933 at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 1-0 Toronto win. Doraty scored on Tiny Thompson at 4:46 of the 6th overtime (104:46 of overtime) in a 1-0 Toronto win. This game is still the longest in Maple Leafs and Bruins history.

Doraty scored a hat-trick in a 10 minute overtime period vs Ottawa Senators on January 16, 1934 at Ottawa Auditorium. The game tied 4-4 after regulation, Doraty scored on Bill Beveridge at 1:35, 2:20 and 9:05 of the overtime period in a 7-4 Toronto win. This is a NHL record, as Doraty is the only player to achieve this scoring feat.

After retiring as a player, Doraty turned to coaching and later the Governor of the Western Canada Junior Hockey League from 1953 to 1956.

Ken Doraty was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 1978.
