Montreal Canadiens 1919
Team Roster
Bottom Row L to R - Newsy Lalonde, Odie Cleghorn, Bert Corbeau, Joe Hall, Georges Vézina.
Top Row - George Kennedy (manager/owner), Didier Pitre, Louis Berlinguette, Jack McDonald, Billy Coutu, A Quimel (trainer).
NOTE
Joe Hall died from the 1919 Spanish Flu in Seattle while playing for the Stanley Cup. Other teammates recovered, while manager/owner George Kennedy never fully recovered from his bout with the flu and he would die at the age of 39 on Oct. 19, 1921.
It is highly possible the Canadiens contracted the flu while in Victoria, B.C. prior to going to Seattle. They were there waiting before heading to Seattle for the 1919 Stanley Cup final.
