The Metropolitans finished 1st in PCHA during the regular season with a record of 12 wins and 10 losses. They defeated Vancouver Millionaires in PCHA playoff final on March 15, 1920.

The Metropolitans travelled to Ontario to play the Ottawa Senators in a best of 5 Stanley Cup championship, winning 2 games, but losing series 3-2 in games.
