Joseph Omer Wildor Larochelle - Born September 23, 1906 in Sorel, Quebec – Died March 21, 1964 was a Canadian ice Hockey right winger.

Larochelle signed as a free agent with the Montreal Canadiens, November 23, 1925, and played 33 games as a rookie, scoring 2 goals, 1 assist. His 1st NHL goal was scored on March 11, 1926 vs John Ross Roach of the Toronto St. Patricks.

Larochelle played for the Canadiens for the next 2 seasons, with limited results on the scoresheet, and was assigned to the Providence Reds of the Canadian-American Hockey League / CanAm for the 1928-29 season. He returned to the Canadiens for the 1929-30 season a changed player.

More aggressive and with a nose for the net, Larochelle entered the most productive phase of his career, playing alongside Pit Lépine and Georges Mantha, Larochelle scored 15 goals, 11 assists during the 1929-30 season, and 1 goal in the playoffs, helping the Canadiens win the 1930 Stanley Cup championship.

Tough and strong despite carrying less than 160 pounds on his 5-foot-8 frame, Larochelle missed very few games in his second stint with the Canadiens, successfully holding his own against bigger, heavier opponents.

In the 1931 NHL playoffs, Montreal played Boston in a best of 5 series that went the distance. Game 5 played at Le Forum de Montréal went into overtime, and it was Larochelle who scored the winner on Boston goalie Tiny Thompson. It was his only goal of the playoffs, and he was treated like a hero by his teammates and fans. Montreal went on to defeat Chicago to win the 1931 Stanley Cup championship.

Larochelle scored a career-high 18 goals in the 1931-32 season, finished 1933-34 with 27 points (16 goals), second only to Howie Morenz. He peaked the next year with 28 points (9 goals). On March 8, 1934, the Canadiens recorded a 3-0 victory over the New York Americans with Larochelle scoring all three goals, his only career hat-trick.

Thirteen games into the 1935-36 campaign, Larochelle was traded to the Chicago Black Hawks on December 21, 1935, where he finished his NHL career. He spent a season and a half in Chicago before retiring.

Larochelle made a brief comeback with the New Haven Eagles of the International American Hockey League in the 1938-39 season, playing 21 games before hanging up his skates for good.

In Sorel, Quebec, "Rue Wildor-Larochelle" is named in his honor.
