Wilson scored his 1st NHL goal vs Gerry Desjardins of Buffalo Sabres at 19:33 of 2nd period on October 16, 1977 at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 2-0 Black Hawks win.
Wilson scored his 1st and only NHL hat-trick vs Jeff Reese of Toronto Maple Leafs on January 26, 1991 at Chicago Stadium in a 5-1 Blackhawks win.
The Blackhawks traded Wilson to San Jose Sharks in September 1991, becoming the Sharks 1st team captain and also their 1st representative at a NHL All-Star Game (1992).
