Robert Allan "Bashin' Bob" Bailey - Born May 29, 1931 in Kenora, Ontario – Died October 24, 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio was a Canadian/American ice Hockey right winger and coach.

- Calder Cup Champion 1949 with Cleveland Barons, 1955 with Pittsburgh Hornets.

- F. G. "Teddy" Oke Trophy Champion 1955 with Pittsburgh Hornets.

Bailey made his NHL debut with Toronto Maple Leafs on October 10, 1953 vs Chicago Black Hawks at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 6-2 Toronto win.

Bailey scored his 1st NHL goal vs Al Rollins of Chicago Black Hawks at 12:59 of 3rd period on January 2, 1954 at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 4-0 Toronto win.

Bailey played in 149 regular season NHL games, scoring 15 goals (2 GWG), 21 assists with 207 penalty minutes and 15 NHL playoff games, scoring 0 goals, 4 assists with 22 penalty minutes.

Bailey played most of his pro career in the American Hockey League / AHL with Pittsburgh Hornets, Springfield Indians, Cleveland Barons, Buffalo Bisons, Quebec Aces.

Bailey played in 338 regular season AHL games, scoring 82 goals, 216 assists with 740 penalty minutes and 26 AHL playoff games, scoring 8 goals, 14 assists with 77 penalty minutes.

Bailey finished his pro career with the International Hockey League / IHL with 4 seasons with Dayton Gems.

Bob Bailey was inducted into the Dayton Hockey Hall of Fame in 1970.

NOTE
Bashin Bob lived up to his name, as he was suspended for assaulting AHL referee Jerry Olinski in 1956, suspended for a stick swinging clash in AHL 1958 and during the 1958 NHL playoffs, Bailey charged Montreal's goaltender Jacques Plante, resulting in a bench clearing brawl.
