Keith Arlen "Maggie" Magnuson - Born April 27, 1947 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - Died December 15, 2003 in Vaughan, Ontario was a Canadian ice Hockey defenceman and coach.

- NCAA Division 1 Champion 1968, 1969 with University of Denver Pioneers.
NCAA Championship Tournament MVP 1969 and also selected to the All-Tournament Teams in 1968 and 1969.

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1970 with Chicago Black Hawks.

Stanley Cup finalist 1971, 1973.

Magnuson made his NHL debut with Chicago Black Hawks on October 11, 1969 vs St. Louis Blues at St. Louis Arena in a 7-2 Blues win.

Magnuson scored his 1st NHL goal vs Gerry Cheevers of Boston Bruins during game 4 of 1970 NHL playoff semi-finals at 5:07 of 2nd period on April 26, 1970 at Boston Garden in a 5-4 Bruins win. He also had 1 assist.

From the time Magnuson first hit the ice at Chicago Stadium as a rookie, he established an instant presence for both his teammates and the Chicago faithfull. Everyone could see his passion and dedication for the game. He loved putting on the Black Hawks jersey.

During his 1st NHL season, he helped bring Chicago from NHL celler dwellers to the Stanley Cup semi-finals. It wasn't his shot or his toughness sticking up for his teammates, but more his love of the game, and you could see it in his smile. He graced the Sports Illustrated Cover in April 1970 before he had even scored his 1st NHL goal..... it was his smile.

Magnuson was named Black Hawks captain in 1977 to 1979 when he retired as a player.

Magnuson played in 589 regular season NHL games, scoring 14 goals (1 GWG), 125 assists with 1440 penalty minutes and 68 NHL playoff games, scoring 3 goals, 9 assists with 164 penalty minutes.

Magnuson played in NHL All-Star Games 1971, 1972.

Magnuson coached the Black Hawks for 2 seasons after retiring as a player.

Magnuson helped found the Blackhawk Alumni Association.

Keith Magnuson was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 1991.
