Goaltender Thomas Robinson "Tom" Murray, from the Nov. 16, 1915 issue of The Winnipeg Tribune. Supposedly in a Winnipeg Stratchonas jersey.

Murray was born in Buffalo, New York on Feb. 17, 1893 but grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba where he represented the Winnipeg Stratchonas and the Winnipeg Monarchs from 1913–1915. In 1915 he won the Allan Cup with the Monarchs.

In 1915–16 Murray moved to the Portland Rosebuds in the PCHA and in 1916 he appeared in the Stanley Cup finals with the team, losing 2 games to 3 to the Montreal Canadiens of the NHA.

Tom Murray played three seasons for the Rosebuds in the PCHA and one for the Victoria Aristocrats, between 1915 and 1919. In 1921–22 he played two games in the PCHA for the Vancouver Millionaires and in 1922–23 he represented the Saskatoon Crescents in the WCHL.

Tom Murray died Oct. 23, 1963 in Fontana, California, aged 70.
