Brian Alexander "Boomer / Blunt" Glennie - Born August 29, 1946 in Toronto, Ontario - Died February 7, 2020 in Ottawa, Ontario was a Canadian ice Hockey defenseman.

- J. Ross Robertson Cup Junior Champion 1967 with Toronto Marlboros.

- George Richardson Memorial Trophy Champion 1967 with Toronto Marlboros.

- Memorial Cup Champion 1967 with Toronto Marlboros.

- 1968 Winter Olympics Bronze Medal Winner with Team Canada.

Glennie played his junior Hockey with Toronto Marlboros, and was their captain when they won the 1967 Memorial Cup championship.

Glennie joined the Canadian Men’s National Ice Hockey Team, coached by Father David Bauer, and competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France winning a Bronze Medal.

Glennie made his NHL debut with Toronto Maple Leafs on October 11, 1969 vs Detroit Red Wings at Detroit Olympia in a 3-2 Red Wings win.

Glennie scored his 1st NHL goal vs Gerry Desjardins of Los Angeles Kings at 15:43 of 3rd period on November 19, 1969 at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 4-4 tie . His goal tied the game.

Glennie played in 572 regular season NHL games, scoring 14 goals (2 GWG), 100 assists with 621 penalty minutes and 32 NHL playoff games, scoring 1 assist with 66 penalty minutes.

Glennie was a member of Team Canada in the 1972 Summit Series. He did not play in any of the 8 games vs the Soviet Union, but did play in Canada's 3 mid-series exhibition games in Europe, 2 vs Sweden and 1 vs reigning world champion Czechoslovakia.
Glennie counted the experience among the greatest of his life.

Brian Glennie was inducted Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.
