Pierre Julien Turgeon - Born August 28, 1969 in Rouyn, Quebec is a Canadian retired ice Hockey centre

- Lady Byng Trophy Winner 1993 with New York Islanders.

- NHL Presidents Trophy Champion 2000 with St. Louis Blues.

Turgeon made his NHL debut with Buffalo Sabres on October 8, 1987 vs Minnesota North Stars at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 2-2 tie.

Turgeon scored his 1st NHL goal vs Mike Liut of Hartford Whalers at 3:50 of the 1st period on October 21, 1987 at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 5-3 Hartford win.

Turgeon scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Chris Terreri & Sean Burke of New Jersey Devils on December 1, 1989 at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 6-4 Buffalo win.

Turgeon played in 1294 regular season NHL games, scoring 515 goals ( 86 GWG / 11 OTG), 812 assists with 452 penalty minutes and 109 NHL playoff games, scoring 35 goals (3 GWG / 2 OTG), 62 assists with 36 penalty minutes.

Pierre Turgeon was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on November 13, 2023.

NOTE
Turgeon was part of Team Canada junior players at 1987 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, better known as the Punch-up in Piestany, where a bench clearing brawl between Canada and Soviet Union happened, with Canada pummeling the Soviets for 20 minutes. Lights were turned out in the arena to try to stop the fights. Both teams were disqualified.
One of the most infamous bench-clearing brawls in international Hockey history.
