Krupp scored the Stanley Cup winning goal at 4:31 of 3rd overtime in a 1-0 win and game 4 sweep.

- Deutschland Cup Champion 2009, 2010 with Team Germany (coach).
Krupp played 8 regular season games and 2 NHL playoffs games during the 2001-02 season for Detroit Red Wings when they won the NHL President's Trophy, Clarence S. Campbell Bowl and Stanley Cup. The NHL has not recognized him as a winner, as he did not have enough games played.
Krupp made his NHL debut with Buffalo Sabres on October 29, 1986 vs Montreal Canadiens at Montreal Forum in a 5-2 Montreal win.
Krupp scored his 1st NHL goal vs Rick Wamsley of St. Louis Blues at 16:04 of 1st period on December 5, 1986 at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 6-5 St. Louis win.
Krupp played in 729 regular season NHL games, scoring 69 goals (7 GWG / 1 OTG), 212 assists with 660 penalty minutes and 81 NHL playoffs games, scoring 6 goals (2 GWG / 1 OTG), 23 assists with 86 penalty minutes.
Krupp turned to coaching after his playing days, coaching the German National Team at various levels, then Kölner Haie, Eisbären Berlin and HC Sparta Praha senior teams.
Uwe Krupp was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2017.
