Joseph Howard "Howie" "Rip" Riopelle - Born January 30, 1922 in Ottawa, Ontario – Died September 22, 2013 in Ottawa, Ontario was a Canadian ice Hockey right winger.

- Quebec Senior Hockey League Champion 1946 and 1947 with Montreal Royals.

1st NHL game on October 16, 1947 playing for the Montreal Canadiens vs the New York Rangers at the Montreal Forum in a 2-1 Rangers win.

1st NHL goal vs Emile Francis of the Chicago Black Hawks on November 13, 1947 at 2:34 of the 3rd in a 5-2 Canadiens win.

- President’s Cup Winner as Quebec Hockey League scoring champion in 1953-54 with 31 goals and 60 assists playing for Ottawa Senators.

NOTE
There is a Hugh ‘Rip’ Riopelle that was inducted into the Ottawa Sport Hall of Fame in 1982.
