Denis Joseph Germain Stanislaus Brodeur - Born October 12, 1930 in Plessisville, Quebec - Died September 26, 2013 in Montreal, Quebec was a Canadian ice Hockey goaltender, Hockey photographer and author/illustrator.

- J. Ross Robertson Cup Senior Champion 1955 with Kitchener-Waterloo Flying Dutchmen.

- Allan Cup Champion 1955 with Kitchener-Waterloo Flying Dutchmen.

- 1956 Winter Olympics Bronze Medal Winner with Team Canada / Kitchener-Waterloo Flying Dutchmen.
Brodeur played in 4 games, winning 3.

After retiring from playing in 1963, Brodeur became a professional photographer of Hockey, later becoming official photographer for the Montreal Canadiens, and in 2006 sold his photo/negative collection of 110,000 plus to the National Hockey League for $350K.

In 1996 Brodeur authored “Goalies - Guardians of the Net”, a collection of over 500 black and white and color photographs of famous goaltenders.

NOTE
In September, 1972 Brodeur was one of two photographers (Frank Lennon) who captured Paul Henderson’s iconic game/series-winning goal with 34 seconds left in Game 8 of the Summit Series in Moscow.

Denis Brodeur is the father of Hockey Hall of Famer Martin Brodeur.
