William Leo "Billy" Smith (1889–1977) of the 1910–11 Ottawa Cliffsides of the Interprovincial Amateur Hockey Union (IAHU).
Smith, a center forward, was a prolific scorer with teams in the Ottawa City Senior Hockey League (OCSHL), the Federal Amateur Hockey League (FAHL) and the IAHU between 1906 and 1918.
Billy Smith was the second youngest of seven ice hockey playing Smith brothers from Ottawa (Alf, Dan, Jack, Harry, Tommy, Billy and George) during the early decades of the 1900s, two (Alf and Tommy) of whom were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
