Carl Mattson
Detroit Red Wings Legendary Trainer
Mattson was first a assistant trainer with the Red Wings in the early to mid 1930s, and by the late 1940s was the head trainer.
He won 7 Stanley Cups, 1936, 1937 and 1943 as assistant trainer, and 1950, 1952, 1954 and 1955 as head trainer.
Mattson also won 5 O'Brien Trophy's, as NHL playoff runner-up - 1941, 1942, 1945, 1948 and 1949.
Carl Mattson was inducted into the Upper Peninsula Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.
