EditJoseph Albert Oliver "Junior" Langlois - Born November 6, 1934 in is a retired Canadian ice Hockey defenceman.
Langlois played junior Hockey in Quebec City with the Quebec Citadelles and Frontenacs. He was a solid senior competitor on the Shawinigan Cataracts and was named to the QHL's second all-star team in 1956.
Langlois then joined the American Hockey League / AHL's Rochester Americans for almost 2 seasons seasons before earning full time spot with the Montreal Canadiens in 1958-59.
Langlois helped the Canadiens finish off the last two years of their 5 Stanley Cup dynasty in 1959 and 1960. As a member of the defending champions, he also participated in two All-Star Games.
Following the 1960-61 season, Langlois was traded to the New York Rangers for John Hanna.
Late in the 1963-64 season, Langlois joined the Detroit Red Wings and helped the club reach the Stanley Cup finals with his solid work behind the blueline. In 1965-66, he played one last NHL season as a veteran presence on the Boston Bruins' defence.
Langlois retired in 1967 after scoring 40 points and delivering many hard hits for the WHL's Los Angeles Blades.
Langlois was the last Bruin to wear #4 before Bobby Orr made the number famous.
