Maniago got his1st NHL Shutout on February 23, 1966 vs the Detroit Red Wings at Madison Square Garden 5-0 victory for New York Rangers.
Maniago played 568 regular season NHL games, winning 190, losing 257, 97 ties with 30 shutouts, 4 assists with 71 penalty minutes and 36 NHL playoff games, winning 15, losing 21 with 3 shutouts with 2 penalty minutes.
Cesare Maniago was inducted into the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame in 1996.

Bobby Hull was the 1st NHL player to score more than 50 goals, scoring his 51st goal on Maniago of the New York Rangers at 5:34 of 3rd period on March 12, 1966 at Chicago Stadium in a 4-2 Chicago win.
