Max "Maxie" Bennett - Born November 4, 1912 in Cobalt, Ontario - Died January 5, 1972 in Buffalo, New York was a Canadian/American ice Hockey right winger.

Bennett played his junior Hockey in Iroquois Falls, then the Falconbridge Falcons and was picked up by the Sudbury Cub Wolves in 1932, where he helped them win the Memorial Cup championship.

Bennett rejoined the Falconbridge Falcons for the 1932-33 season. He then played for the Hamilton Tigers senior team, which he had much success with, helping them win the OHA senior championship in 1934. He and the Tigers then went to England for a 7 game series at Wembley Stadium, winning the British Empire Hockey Trophy in April 1935.

Bennett turned pro with Springfield Indians for the 1935-36 season, and got a 1 game call up to the Montreal Canadiens on February 11, 1936 vs New York Rangers at Montreal Forum. He had 0 points or penalties in a 1-1 tie.

Bennett would play the remainder of his pro career in the International American Hockey League / American Hockey League with the Cleveland Falcons, Syracuse Stars, Pittsburgh Hornets and Buffalo Bisons who he helped win back to back Calder Cup championships in 1943 & 1944.
