George "Punch" Imlach - Born March 15, 1918 in Totonto, Ontario - Died December 1, 1987 was a Canadian ice Hockey centre, coach, general manager

- J. Ross Robertson Cup Senior Champion 1939, 1940 with Toronto Goodyears, 1941 with Toronto Marlboros.

- Quebec Senior Hockey League Champion 1952 with Quebec Aces (coach).

- Alexander Cup Champion 1952 with Quebec Aces (coach).

- Quebec Hockey League Champion 1954 with Quebec Aces (coach & gm).

- Thomas O'Connell Memorial Trophy Champion 1951-52, 1956-57 with Quebec Aces (coach).
- Edinburgh Trophy Champions 1957 with Quebec Aces (coach).

- Stanley Cup Champion 1962, 1963, 1964, 1967 with Toronto Maple Leafs (coach & gm).

- Prince of Wales Trophy Champion 1963 with Toronto Maple Leafs (coach & gm).

Imlach played his junior Hockey with Toronto Young Rangers.

Imlach then played some senior Hockey with Toronto Goodyears, helping them win back to back OHA championships (1939 & 1940), then played 1 season with Toronto Marlboros , also winning a OHA championship. Imlach also played a season with Cornwall Flyers, but with WWII on, he then played 2 seasons with the Cornwall Army team.

After the war, Imlach joined the Quebec Aces, first as a player, then the coach and then as their GM, helping them win Quebec senior championships, the Alexander Cup and the Edinburgh Trophy.

Imlach then was the GM of the Springfield Indians for 1 season before the Toronto Maple Leafs hired him, first as a assistant general manager and their coach, taking over the GM position the next season, and well, the rest is history.... 3 Stanley Cup championships in a row, and 1 with an aging team in 1967.

Imlach later coached the Buffalo Sabres and was their GM before he started to have heart issues and attacks. The Maple Leafs brought Imlach back in as coach and gm in 1979, but his heart issues took hold again, and in 1981 he retired from the Maple Leafs.

Punch Imlach was inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame (builder) in 1984.
