P.K. Subban played 4 seasons of junior Hockey with Belleville Bulls, including the 2008 Memorial Cup tournament. He was team captain in his final season with Belleville in 2008-09.
P.K. Subban was selected to play for Canada at the 2008 and 2009 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, winning the Gold Medal at both. He was selected to the 2009 All-Star Team.

Subban was signed by the Montreal Canadiens and turned pro with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League / AHL for the 2009-10 season and was 3rd in the AHL among defenseman with 53 points (18 goals, 35 assists) in 77 games. He was named to the AHL First All-Star Team and the All-Rookie Team.

P.K. Subban scored his 1st NHL goal vs Marc-André Fleury of Pittsburgh Penguins at 4:30 of 1st period on April 30, 2010. in game 1 of NHL Eastern Conference Semi-Finals at Mellon Arena in a 6-3 Penguins win.
P.K. Subban scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs José Théodore and Niklas Bäckström of Minnesota Wild on March 20, 2011 at Xcel Energy Center in a 8-1 Canadiens win. He became the 1st Rookie Montreal Canadiens defenceman to score a hat-trick.
P.K. Subban had a solid 2012-13, winning the Norris Trophy and voted to the NHL First All-Star Team.
The Canadiens would trade P.K. Subban to Nashville Predators at the end of June 2016 in basically a swap of defencemen, sending Shea Webber to Montreal. P.K. Subban would help lead Nashville to the 2017 Stanley Cup final, losing to Pittsburgh in 6 games.
In the 2017-18 season, P.K. Subban played all 82 regular season games, scoring 16 goals, 43 assists and was named to the NHL All-Star Game for the 3rd time and lead the Predators to the Presidents' Trophy as the NHL's 1st place regular-season winners.
P.K. Subban was traded to the New Jesrey Devils on June 22, 2019, playing 3 seasons there before retiring in 2022.
P.K. Subban played in 834 regular season NHL games, scoring 115 goals (18 GWG / 4 OTG), 352 assists with 905 penalty minutes and 96 NHL playoffs games, scoring 18 goals (2 GWG / 1 OTG), 44 assists with 133 penalty minutes.
