The Houston Aeros played an 82 game regular IHL season, winning 54, losing 15 finishing first in IHL Southwest Division of Western Conference, also winning the Fred A. Huber Trophy for best regular season record..

In the playoffs, the Aeros defeated Long Beach Ice Dogs 3-2 in games, Chicago Wolves 4-3 in games and in the championship series vs Orlando Solar Bears 4-3 in games to win the 1999 Turner Cup championship.
