Donald Ross "Brooksie" Brooks - Born October 17, 1937 in Toronto, Ontario is a Canadian retired ice Hockey goaltender, coach, general manager and executive.

- Harry 'Hap' Holmes Memorial Award Winner 1972 with Boston Braves (shared with Dan Bouchard).

Brooks made his NHL debut with Boston Bruins on October 25, 1972 vs Buffalo Sabres at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium in a 2-2 tie.

Brooks got his 1st NHL shutout vs Los Angeles Kings on February 11, 1973 at Boston Garden in a 2-0 Boston win.

Brooks played in 54 regular season games, winning 37, losing 7, 6 ties with 4 shutouts and 4 penalty minutes and played 1 NHL playoff game in relief (20 minutes) at Boston Garden in a 6-3 Rangers win.

Brooks is noted for tying the NHL record of Tiny Thompson, going undefeated in his 1st 14 NHL games played, winning 11, tying 3. (since surpassed by Patrick Lalime)

NOTE
Brooks is the 4th oldest NHL rookie goalie (Lester Patrick, David Ayres, Hugh Lehman other 3) when he debuted with Bruins at the age of 36 years and 8 days on October 25, 1972.
