Tom Paton was the 1st Goalie to be awarded The Stanley Cup in 1893.
Thomas Laird Paton was the youngest son of Laird Paton. He was the 1st President of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association. In addition to Hockey, he played Lacrosse and was a curler. He died suddenly on 10 Feb 1909, at the age of 54
