Robert Briton Selby - Born March 27, 1945 in Kingston, Ontario is a Canadian retired ice Hockey left winger.

- Memorial Cup Champion 1964 with Toronto Marlboros.
- George Richardson Memorial Trophy Champion 1964 with Toronto Marlboros.
- J. Ross Robertson Cup Junior Champion 1964 with Toronto Marlboros.

- Calder Memorial Trophy Winner 1966 with Toronto Maple Leafs.

- Avco World Trophy / Avco Cup Champion 1973 with New England Whalers.

Selby played his junior Hockey with Weston Dukes and Toronto Marlboros, whom he starred with for 3 seasons, and as team captain, leading them to the 1964 Memorial Cup championship.

Selby made his NHL debut with Toronto Maple Leafs on January 2, 1965 vs Detroit Red Wings at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 3-1 Toronto win.

Selby scored his 1st NHL goal vs Jacques Plante of New York Rangers at 2:50 of 3rd period on January 3, 1965 at Madison Square Garden in a 3-3 tie.

Selby scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Bernie Parent of Boston Bruins on January 15, 1966 at Maple Leaf Gardens in a 6-1 Toronto win. His 1st goal of a natural hat-trick was the game winner.

Selby sterted the next season with Toronto, but after 6 games and 1 goal, Maple Leafs coach/gm Punch Imlach sent him to the Vancouver Canucks of the Western Hockey League. He played just 15 games for Vancouver before he broke his leg in a game vs San Diego, which ended his season.

The Maple Leafs exposed Selby in the 1967 NHL expansion draft and Philadelphia Flyers, a new NHL team scooped him up. He played for the Flyers for 2 seasons before they traded him back to Toronto in March 1969.

Selby played for the Maple Leafs until they traded him to St. Louis Blues in November 1970. He scored just 1 goal for the Blues in 63 games, finishing his NHL career on November 4, 1971 when St. Louis sent him to Kansas City Blues to finish the season.

Selby signed on to play in the new World Hockey Association / WHA, playing first for the Quebec Nordiques, then the New England Whalers, helping them win the 1st Avco Cup championship in 1973. They traded him in the summer to the Toronto Toros, where he played until retiring in late 1974.

Selby played in 347 regular season NHL games, scoring 55 goals (10 GWG), 62 assists with 171 penalty minutes and 10 NHL playoff games, scoring 1 goal, 1 assist with 8 penalty minutes.

Selby played in 153 regular season WHA games, scoring 23 goals, 51 assists with 73 penalty minutes and 23 WHA playoff games, scoring 4 goals, 7 assists with 15 penalty minutes.

During his playing days, Selby went to University and later became a teacher.
