The Comets played a 72 game regular EHL season, winning 57, losing 5 with 10 ties. They scored a amazing 436 goals, while allowing just 185 goals.

The Comets defeated Long Island Ducks (3-0) in EHL quarterfinals, New Haven Blades (4-3) in EHL semifinals and Charlotte Checkers (4-0) in 1968 EHL championship final.

They were awarded the 1968 Atlantic City Boardwalk Trophy and 1968 Mayor Walker Cup.
