Mondou made his NHL debut with Montreal Canadiens on May 5, 1977 vs New York Islanders at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in a 2-1 Canadiens win. This was game 6 of NHL semi-final ..... Mondou would also play in game 3 and 4 of Stanley Cup final vs Boston Bruins.
Mondou scored his 1st NHL goal vs Pete LoPresti of Minnesota North Stars at 14:35 of 1st period on October 12, 1977 at Montreal Forum in a 7-3 Canadiens win.
Mondou scored his 1st NHL hat-trick vs Gary Inness of Washington Capitals on February 4, 1979 at Capital Centre in a 8-4 Canadiens win.
Mondou played in 548 regular season NHL games, scoring 194 goals (26 GWG / 1 OTG), 262 assists with 456 penalty minutes and 68 NHL playoff games, scoring 17 goals (2 GWG), 28 assists with 45 penalty minutes.
Mondou retired in 1985 after taking a high-stick in the eye from Ulf Samuelsson.
NOTE
Mondou went from winning the 1977 Calder Cup with Nova Scotia Voyageurs on April 30th, to joining the Canadiens on the road in their 1977 Stanley Cup run, playing 3 games and winning the championship.
