Ronald Jeffrey "Ron" Hextall - Born May 3, 1964 in Brandon, Manitoba is a Canadian/American retired ice Hockey goaltender and general manager.

Hextall made his NHL debut with Philadelphia Flyers on October 9, 1986 vs Edmonton Oilers at The Spectrum in a 2-1 Flyers win, also the 1st NHL win for Hextall.

Hextall got his 1st NHL shutout vs New Jersey Devils on January 6, 1987 at The Spectrum in a 4-0 Flyers win.

Hextall scored the 1st NHL "Goalie Goal" on December 8, 1987 vs Boston Bruins into a empty net at 18:48 of 3rd period at The Spectrum in a 5-2 Flyers win.

Hextall played in 608 regular season NHL games, winning 298, losing 214, 69 ties, 23 shutouts, 1 goal, 32 assists with 584 penalty minutes and 93 NHL playoff games, winning 47, losing 43, 2 shutouts, 1 goal, 4 assists with 115 penalty minutes.

Ron Hextall was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame in 2008.

Hextall set a record for the most penalty minutes accumulated by a goaltender, being assessed for 117 minutes during the 1983-84 Western Hockey League / WHL regular season.
