Leopold Adolph Emile "Leo" Reise, Sr. - Born June 1, 1892 in Pembroke, Ontario – Died July 8, 1975 was a Canadian professional Hockey defenceman.

Reise Sr. lost sight in one of his eyes as a youngster, yet he continued to play Hockey. The loss did not come as a result of an injury but rather as the result of an optical nerve that simply died.

Reise Sr. started out with the Hamilton Tigers of the Ontario Hockey Association and played with the junior, intermediate, and senior level teams. In 1920 he turned pro with the Hamilton Tigers when they moved in from Quebec City.

In 1923 he joined the Saskatoon Crescents of the Western Canada Hockey League for three seasons, then went to the New York Americans in 1926 and the New York Rangers in 1929.

Reise Sr. then joined the IAHL's London Tecumsehs and Pittsburgh Yellowjackets to round out his career in 1932.

His son Leo Reise, Jr. won 2 Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings in 1950 and 1952.
