The Allan Cup went to British Columbia for the first time in 1936, the first team west of Regina, Saskatchewan to do so. when the Kimberley Dynamiters defeated the Sudbury Falcons in two consecutive games in the finals, with a 2-0 and a 4-3 overtime victory. Ken Moore would assist on Hugo Mackie's winning goal in overtime to give the Dynamiters the Allan Cup championship.
