Ronald Thomas Harris - Born June 30, 1942 in Verdun, Quebec is a Canadian retired ice Hockey defenceman, coach and general manager.

- Memorial Cup Champion 1962 with Hamilton Red Wings.
- George Richardson Memorial Trophy Champion 1962 with Hamilton Red Wings.
- J. Ross Robertson Cup Junior Champion 1962 with Hamilton Red Wings.

Harris played his junior Hockey for Lethbridge Native Sons and Hamilton Red Wings, who he helped win the Memorial Cup in 1962.

Harris then turned pro with the Pittsburgh Hornets for the 1962-63 AHL season. He got a 1 game call up to the NHL, making his NHL debut with the Detroit Red Wings on December 13, 1962 vs New York Rangers at Detroit Olympia in a 3-2 Red Wings win. He had 1 assist in the game.

Harris scored his 1st NHL goal vs Bernie Parent of Philadelphia Flyers at 11:32 of 2nd period on NHL opening night October 11, 1967 at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum Arena in a 5-1 Oakland Seals win.

Harris played in 475 regular season NHL games, scoring 20 goals (2 GWG), 91 assists with 474 penalty minutes and 28 NHL playoff games, scoring 4 goals (3 GWG / 1 OTG), 3 assists with 33 penalty minutes.

After retiring as a player, Harris coached the Windsor Spitfires and Spokane Flyers at the major junior level, and later worked as an assistant coach for the Quebec Nordiques in the NHL.

NOTE
Harris was involved in a body check with Bill Masterton, who fell back and was not wearing a helmet, smacked the back of his head on the ice. "It sounded like a baseball bat hitting a ball," teammate André Boudrias recalled.
