The Stanley Cup appeared on the ice at the Vancouver Canucks 1st NHL game on October 9, 1970 at Pacific Coliseum prior to the start of the game.

The only other appearance it made on the ice at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver was on May 16, 1982 when the New York Islanders were crowned 1982 Stanley Cup champions.

The Stanley Cup was in the the building (Pacific Coliseum) and ready for presentation on June 11, 1994, but the Canucks won that game 4-1 to force a game 7 in New York.
