Mistrovství Světa Aevropy Ledním Hokeji Praha 1972

The tournament was held in Prague, Czechoslovakia from April 7 to 22, 1972.

The Czechoslovakia national team won the Gold medal, the 3rd time they had done so and first since 1949, ending the Soviet Union's streak of nine consecutive titles.

It was the Czechoslovaks' 12th European title too.
