Portland Buckaroos captain Art Jones with the 1971 Lester Patrick Cup - Championship trophy of the Western Hockey League / WHL.

It was a great season for Art Jones, being selected to the WHL First All-Star Team, winning the George Leader Cup as WHL Most Valuable Player and the Lester Patrick Cup championship.

Art Jones was named to the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in 1984.
