Duncan McMillan "Mickey" MacKay - Born May 25, 1894 in Chesley, Ontario – Died May 30, 1940 in Ymir, British Columbia was a Canadian ice Hockey rover, centre, coach, manager, referee.

Nicknamed “The Wee Scot”, Mackay learned his ice Hockey on the North Saugeen River and played all his minor Hockey until 18 years old with the Chesley Hockey Club.

MacKay then joined the Edmonton Dominions of the Alberta Senior Hockey League for the 1912-13 Edmonton City League season, and played the 1913-14 season with the Grand Forks Athletic Club, helping them win the Boundary Cup as league champions. MacKay would return to his wife's hometown of Grand Forks when he retired.

Mackay turned professional with the Vancouver Millionaires for the 1914-15 season, making his debut on December 8, 1914 playing on a line with Frank Nighbor and Ken Mallen, MacKay scored a hat trick in his first game and in his rookie year led the Pacific Coast Hockey Association / PCHA in scoring with 33 goals and was named a PCHA First Team All-Star.

MacKay would play most of his career with Vancouver in the PCHA. His 33 goals in his rookie year was the only time he led the PCHA in goal scoring (tied in 1923-24 with 21), but when the PCHA became the Western Canada Hockey League / WCHL for the 1925-25 season, MacKay led the league in goals with 27 and was tied with Harry Oliver for points with 33. The Vancouver team was also called the Vancouver Maroons since 1922.

The WCHL was having financial problems, changing their name to Western Hockey League for the 1925-26 season and then selling all their assets to the National Hockey League / NHL at seasons end. MacKay would end up with the Chicago Black Hawks for the 1926-27 season. MacKay was the all-time leading scorer amongst PCHA and WCHL/WHL players at the league's demise with 198 goals, 92 assists for 290 points.

MacKay and the Chicago Black Hawks played their 1st NHL game on November 17, 1926 vs Toronto St. Pats at the sold-out Chicago Coliseum in a 4-1 Chicago win. MacKay scored his 1st NHL goal vs Hal Winkler of the New York Rangers at 3:56 of the 1st period at Madison Square Garden in a 4-3 OT win for New York. MacKay finished tied for 3rd in Black Hawks scoring with 14 NHL goals and points with 22.

MacKay had his playing rights sold to the NHL Pittsburgh Pirates prior to the 1928–29 NHL season. He appeared in only ten games with the Pirates, scoring just 1 goal before he was traded to the Boston Bruins on December 20, 1928 in exchange for Frank Fredrickson. With the Bruins, MacKay also served as an assistant coach and manager. He played in 30 of the 44 Black Hawks regular season games and 3 playoff games, including both the championship games vs New York Rangers, as Boston won it's 1st Stanley Cup in 1929.

MacKay played 1 final season in Chicago before retiring as a player in 1930.
