In the 1994 NHL playoffs, the Rangers defeated New York Islanders 4-0 in games in conference quarterfinals, Washington Capitals 4-1 in games in conference semifinals, New Jersey Devils 4-3 in games in conference finals, winning the Prince of Wales Trophy and then the Vancouver Canucks 4-3 in games to win the 1994 Stanley Cup championship.
